Privacy Policy

This notice applies to Hermes Rclone Backup, a private backup utility. Contact: op.izvp32@gmail.com.

Data accessed

With the owner's consent, the utility may access Google Drive files it creates or which the owner explicitly opens with it, using the Google Drive drive.file scope. It may process selected files on an authorized server, backup archives, filenames, checksums, transfer logs, and the authentication credentials needed to perform backups.

Purposes

Data is used for creating, verifying, storing, restoring and deleting backups requested by the owner. Archives are intended to be encrypted before upload. The informational website itself does not receive Drive file contents or OAuth credentials.

Storage and sharing

Backups are stored in the Google Drive account authorized by its owner. OAuth tokens and encryption configurations are retained in owner-controlled server or device configuration. Google and Cloudflare separately process information necessary to provide their services. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or provide it to advertising networks.

Retention and control

The owner controls backup retention and can delete archives in Drive, revoke application permissions in their Google Account, and contact the address above with questions or deletion requests. Recovery of encrypted archives requires secure preservation of encryption credentials.

Site analytics

These static informational pages do not intentionally use advertising or analytics tracking cookies. Cloudflare may process web-request metadata for delivery and security.

Security and changes

Backups must be integrity-checked and restoration-tested before their source copies are removed. This notice will be updated when data-handling practices change.
